Dj Meme who real name is Marcello Mansur born and raised in Rio de Janeiro Brazil began to DJ at age 11 and started remixing in 1986. He began his journey working at a Radio Station editing commercials and adding the music to the station. He somehow was able to persuade the Brazilian Record labels to try him out for a remix. Well, the rest was history his remix was added on every station in Brazil and from there overnight DJ Meme was household name in the Brazilian Dance Pop Market. He speaks about his production style and how he began from Disco to beyond.

Playing the preparty night of Faces of Ibiza alongside DJ Java from Ibiza. Bora Bora is one of those places that is hot and sweaty and filled with all kinds of Europeans dancing on the beach and inside. My daughter Samantha got to experience what is like to be at a European Beach Club and watching me work.

This was a discussion that took place at Karmic Power Studio with two of the finest guys of Brooklyn’s First Generation Dj’s. Bacho Mangual and Richie Condina being interviewed about the behind the scenes of what life was like around the late 1960’s and early 1970’s for the BBC Radio. The disco craze that swept the nation in the United States after the release of the movie Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta had changed nightclubbing forever. These two guys paint the picture of how simple life was and how things started to formulate in the discotheques in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Please enjoy and comment freely.
