TRUE HOUSE STORIES™ W/ DANNY TENAGLIA SPECIAL SHOW 006 - PART 1
Danny Tenaglia starts his beginnings in Williamsburg Brooklyn listening to Motown, Rock and Philly International sounds that was being played on the radio during that era. Born in the 1960’s and one of the younger of his siblings he lived through the musical changes of the1970s and music to him was everything. With his aunt inspiring him with her piano playing he tries to learn different instruments but he finds it is not for him. So, he starts to work out on how to be a DJ. Through his older brother he is able to start playing at a neighborhood bar with a dance floor and this is around 1975-1976. His older cousin brings an 8-Track tape mixed by Queens DJ Paul Casella, this is where Danny decides to call the number on there to reach out to him and asks to meet him. Paul becomes an important mentor by showing Danny the ropes of what it is to be a DJ from mixing and hunting for the right music at certain record shops in Brooklyn. Ganz in der Tradition seines berühmten Vaters Bob Marley stehend, ist Julian Marley ein gläubiger Rastafari, dessen Musik und Leben von Spiritualität geprägt sind. Marley ist ein Humanist und Philanthrop, der sich musikalisch von vielen Kulturen inspirieren lässt und dabei stets Rastafari bleibt.
1975 wird der jüngste Sohn von Bob Marley in London geboren. Seine Kindheit verbringt er zwischen England, wo seine Mutter Lucy Pounder lebt, und Jamaika. Schon früh lernt er Keyboard, Schlagzeug, Bass, Gitarre und andere Instrumente und nimmt im zarten Alter von fünf Jahren im Marley-Familienstudio auf Jamaika sein erstes Demoband auf.
Zusammen mit seinen Brüdern Ziggy, Damian und Stephen gründet er die Plattenfirma Ghetto Youth, mit der junge Talente aus den ärmeren Regionen der Welt unterstützt werden. 1996 erscheint sein erstes Soloalbum "Lion In The Morning", gefolgt von einer Welttournee. Sein drittes Album "Awake" wird 2009 für einen Grammy als bestes Reggae-Album nominiert.

Get a big pot with two pints of water
Peel some sweet potato and yam
Pumpkin or squash and put them in the pan
Mek it boil for a little bit then mek it simmer
Time for the vegetables dem fi go inna
Peel the cho cho cut it inna quarter
Dice the cho cho and the green pepper
Chop up the callaloo the cabbage whatever
The carrot the veg what you like be clever
Put in the Scallion and the garlic

You can add Bayleaf you can add thyme
Use natural seasoning’s you like,me no mind
