Sometimes it’s the only vegan dish
They will add it for free also if you wish
Steam vegetables really steam cabbage
Get some cabbage to begin
Cut it in half and slice it thin
Dash weh the core you nu want that in
Coulda put it in the compost bin
What other vegetables do they put in?
Most of the time carrot is the thing
Slice it up nice and thin
Now it's ready for the so called steaming
Put the oil of your choice in a skillet
Sauté some onions and garlic
Thyme and scallion add it to it
Plus a little Himalayan or Celtic
Add the cabbage and carrot and stir it
Then if you want some scotch bonnet
Then add some water just a little bit
Make it cook for 15 minutes
Simple as that yes that's it
And Jamaicans eat a whole heap of it
Yes it's a popular side dish
And it’s so easy you can’t miss

In 1991 Erique Dial played keyboards on The Adventures Of Stevie V's “Jealousy" In 1992 Eric Robinson enlisted Erique's help on the 1st solo album for Martha Wash formerly of the "Weather Girls" and C & C Music Factory. Erique co-wrote and arranged "Hold On Part 2". Produced and co-wrote Oooh-Aaah with Leee John for the Imagination LP "The Facination Of The Physical" in 1993. In 1996 Erique became the musical director for Byron Stingily X lead vocalist for Ten City. Performing "Everybody Get Up" & Feel Mighty Real" on Top Of The Pops, MTV & CDUK, touring until 1998-99. In 1998, Erique was featured on Loop Da Loop "Hazel" on Manifesto / Mercury Records.The song hit No. 20 in Europe and the UK the video was on rotation on MTV, The Box & CDUK . In 2011-13 Erique Dial aka E-RAZE moved to Barcelona, Spain playing select venues like La Terrazzza, BLVD, The Ocana, where he holds a residency "BROKE 4 LOVE" every 2 weeks Cera 23, Zentruas, Moog & Family. Living in London since Jan 2015-2020 Erique has played sets at Promised Land, Labrynth, Memory Box Parties, Detached Boat Parties ,The Egg, Heaven, The Garage, House Of Wolf, Union Club, Diversion Parties, Sqaut Life, The Wick, OTC Festival and plays the London Underground scene to the present. He is right now working on songs for Juliet Roberts and co writing with Loose Ends.

TRUE HOUSE STORIES™ W/ FRANKIE FONCETT # 046 - PART 1
We are joined by the legendary London UK Dj Frankie Foncett. His Caribbean roots come from the island of Trinidad. His start in music was in the 1970s being introduced to groups such as Commanded, James Brown and the JB's, Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye. His cousin Tony had a huge hand in helping Frankie learn about disco, bringing mix tapes back from New York City Radio Station, Disco 92 WKTU with DJ Ted Currier in the mix. Frankie also talks about how important Reggae sound was in the days of the early night clubs and how the music with its heavy bass lent to the excitement of the Carnival sound and the dub culture. Rapper Kurtis Blow, DJ Davy DMX was also a huge inspiration with his hip hop mixes around 1982 with his style of cutting and scratching. During this time this is where he meets a young DJ Paul Trouble Anderson who at the time was known as "Trouble Funk". Frankie begins as the warm up dj at the Electric Ballroom for Paul Trouble. As his time in London starts to begin in the music business he picks up jobs at record shops and ends up at Black Market Records and here he becomes famous with all the DJ's of the time being able to take care of them with their rare grooves.

In this second part Ashley takes us behind the scenes of meeting Norman Jay at The Notting Hill Carnival and starting to be booked at his first solo DJ gigs. He explains how “New Jersey Deep” was created and the feeling of hearing his records played at Sound Factory in New York City with DJ Frankie Knuckles thanking him for making such a great record. He also has his first chart super hit with Talking Heads lead vocalist David Byrne with the song called “Lazy” and being invited to perform on Top of the Pops.
